biography
Peters, from Pontiac, IL, served in the Army Air Force as a B-17 Bomber Pilot with the 92nd Bomber Group, 20th Combat Wing, 322nd Squadron, 8th Air Force during World War II. He flew 35 missions in the European Theater.
