Adam, from Channahon IL,  first served as a pilot of a KC-135 aerial tanker, then as a pilot of an RC-26 surveillance aircraft. He served all over the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan. Adam also served in the Wisconsin Air National Guard. He serves as a U.S. Representative for Illinois's 16th Congressional District.
