biography
Major General Dohleman, from Pontiac, IL, served in the Army during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He entered the Army in 1944 after graduating from Pontiac Township High School. He then attended Officer Candidate School and served at several command levels throughout his career. His final position prior to retirement was with the Military District of Washington. The General had served under 9 presidents and had met with several of them. In 1969, while stationed in Washington D.C., his unit marched in the 1st inaugrual parade of President Richard Nixon.
