pfc wayne o. mitchell

biography

Wayne, from Fairbury, IL, entered the Army in 1943 and served slightly more than a year before being killed in action in France on July 12th, 1944. He served in the 331st Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division. He is buried at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
