
PFC William P. "Bill" Harris
biography
Harris, from Pontiac, IL, was killed in action on February 3rd, 1944 at Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. The 7th Division, along with the 4th Marine Division, captured this island from the Japanese. Previously, PFC Harris and the division had captured Attu in Alaska. PFC Harris served in "I" Company, 3rd Batallion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division.
