
S/SGT Harold G. Marker
biography
Harold was killed in action in Italy on April 19th, 1945. He served in the Army as a part of the 133rd Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division. He was with a small patrol that took on a force of 40 enemy soldiers and captured 5 machine guns. They approached the enemy to within 300 years over flat, open terrain. He received a Silver Star and Purple Heart for this action. He was later killed in another battle.
