Jim, from Graymont, IL, served with Headquarters of the 8th Army during the Korean War. He trained at Ft. Ord, California, and was assigned to the Armed Forces Intelligence School in Japan from August to October in 1953. Jim's duties included reading and analyzing reports of North Korean and Chinese troop movements behind the DMZ.
