S/SGT Vincent Murphy

biography

Vincent, from Odell, IL, served in the 8th Engineer Squadron (renamed 8th Engineer Battalion) of the 1st Cavalry Division. He served in the Pacific Theatre and participated in the liberation of the Philippines. Vincent was one of three brothers (Joseph, James, and Vincent) from Odell to serve in World War II.
